Mandy

"When I first heard the news, it was devastating. It was like a lump in your throat, hard to swallow. Knowing there has been a time limit now put on to your mom’s life, kind of like a countdown. So, you start thinking about: what haven’t I done with my mom, what do I need to do, do I need to do family photo shoots, do I have to take her to all the places she has never been. It was hard."

She speaks honestly about the unspoken weight children often carry, and how financial support from the Breast Cancer Support Fund helped her mom — and their whole family — focus on time together, instead of worry. Mandy’s story is a reminder that when we support one woman, we support everyone who loves her.
