I underwent a mastectomy of my right breast, followed by hormone therapy and radiation treatments. With the unwavering support of my partner, daughter, family, medical team, and Daffodil Place, I faced the physical and emotional challenges of cancer with strength and determination. Adapting to the changes brought by treatment became a new way of life. I recently celebrated my 76th
birthday in July 2025, a meaningful milestone. My advice to others: prioritize your health, get annual mammograms, and always put yourself first. Im deeply grateful to the Breast Cancer Support Fund and their entire team for their financial support. I was able to purchase a prosthetic and bra, allowing me to feel confident and feminine again.
